The upcoming Xiaomi flagship is said to run on the to-be-unveiled Qualcomm next generation flagship processor, the Snapdragon 898. Xiaomi 12 could become the first smartphone to run on Snapdr 898 top-end chipset. Recently Concept Creator created a Xiaomi 12 concept model based on a patent filed by the company with a zoom camera. Do remember, the company has now rebranded Mi series phones to ‘Xiaomi’.Â
The upcoming Xiaomi 12 features thin bezels with a very thin chin at the bottom.
A new leak revealed some key Xiaomi 12 specs regarding the display, processor and camera. There’s a gigantic center camera system at the back in the render.
It will have a periscopic zoom lens with a rectangular design and an LED flash. The SM8450 chip will succeed the Snapdragon 888 Plus, and the marketing name is suggested to be Snapdragon 898.
In terms of optics, Xiaomi 12 is said to have a 200MP camera sensor. It will be the 200MP Olympus unit by Samsung, the South Korean tech giant is planning to use on the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The 200MP Olympus camera sensor by Samsung will offer 16-in-1 pixel binning technology. The sensors will produce 12.5MP images with pixel-binning technology and may capture 200MP HQ images as well. Xiaomi 12 will have a curved display with a single punch hole on the screen.
