This New Electric SUV Will Run 1200 Kms On 2-Hours Of Charge: India’s Longest Lasting Electric Car

Triton EV has now showcased its Model H electric SUV in Hyderabad in Telangana, the first ever car model from the company. The US-based EV manufacturer Triton EV has recently announced its plans to set up a facility in India.

Triton EV’s Model H Electric SUV Showcased In Hyderabad

Triton EV will be offering the Model H SUV in seven colour options and the model that was showcased was Metallic Blue.

The car by Triton EV is reportedly massive with a chunky front face and a large grille. The car will be 5,690 mm in length, 2,057 mm in height and 1,880 mm in width. Whereas, the wheelbase is around 3302, matching the gigantic size of the SUV. 

Himanshu B Patel, Founder and Managing Director of Triton EV, said, “We are excited with the unleashing of Model H and the first-hand feedback from automotive experts have been very encouraging, who got a chance to look and feel the Model H here.”

He stated that India is a very important market and activity centre for Triton EV. he also officially announced the launch of a complete ‘Make in India’ Electric Vehicle from Zahirabad, Telangana factory. 

This manufacturing facility is the biggest one in the world, just after the United States.

Triton’s Model SUV To Come With 200 kWh Battery

The car will be able to seat eight adults, which is the most an EV can occupy in India. Additionally, the car will offer space sufficient for fitting luggage of up to 5663 litres (200 cubic feet). It will also come with a towing capacity of 7 tonnes.

There will be a 200kWh battery pack on the Model H SUV with the option to hypercharge. As per Triton EV, the electric SUV will be fully recharged through a hypercharger within two hours only.

The Model H SUV can run for around 1200 kms without the need to plug in. if the claimed range is true, the SUV will be the first electric car in India to breach 1000 kms range on an electric charge. This also makes the car one of the EVs with the longest range on a global scale.
