Google Pixel Fold Launch: To Come With LTPO OLED Display, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro
Google Pixel Fold launch? It is said to happen by the end of the year. Google’s foldable smartphone has already been tipped on a number of occasions, multiple key speculations are till now. The newly leaked information suggests Google Pixel Fold will release in Q4, 2021. With more companies jumping into the folding smartphone category, Google will be the latest to enter the foldable smartphones zone.
Leaked by David Naranjo, Senior Director at Display Supply Chain Consultants, Naranjo shared a list of devices which are said to use LTPO OLED panels from SDC, mentioning Google Pixel Fold.
Leaked Google document revealed three devices Google is working on. Codenamed ‘Raven,’ ‘Oriole’, and ‘Passport’, the last one is being speculated to be Pixel Fold, while the other two will be the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, set to launch globally next month. All the three upcoming Google phones will launch in 2021 only.
Coming to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google recently teased the upcoming Google Pixel 6 phones on Instagram recently, indirectly confirming the release date. Pixel 6 series will be unveiled on October 19. The company previously confirmed the availability of the upcoming Google phones in eight countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, the UK, and the US. Google is yet to confirm Pixel 6 series launch date, but the Tuesday 19 text means October 19.
We may again not get the new Pixel 6 devices in India. Pixel 5a was recently released, and Pixel 5a India launch will happen soon succeeding the popular Pixel 4a in mid-range category.
Pixel 6 will come with FHD+ resolution display and Pixel 6 Pro could have QHD+ resolution display. Google Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro will have the selfie camera located at the top-centre. Pixel 6 Pro could be able to record 4K videos with the front camera.
Also, the code revealed that Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro will offer up to 7x zooming capability while recording videos in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

For the first time, the company will be using in-house chipset Whitechapel chips for the upcoming Pixel 6 series. The upcoming Pixel series will include two models: Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Popular leakster Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech leaked the complete specifications. The devices will sport a dual-tone finish with a thin strip of orange and the ‘G’ logo in orange. Pixel 6 devices will run the latest Android 12 out of the box.
