Amid the race to provide internet connectivity and best services to every corner of the country, Indian telecom providers are launching different packs and services targeting the rural parts the most.

Private players Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have been in close stride to garner the highest number of active subscribers and poach each others’ existing subscribers, by coming up with attractive offers and initiatives for over 50 million Indian rural and low-income user base.

In this race of providing a range of internet services to rural India, India’s fourth-largest telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has added two new Bharat AirFibre plans, which will provide download speeds of upto 80 Mbps.

Launched on January 22, 2021, BSNL’s Bharat AirFibre plans accommodates all the three major telecom services, namely internet data, call facilities and TV services, under a single plan, designed especially to provide high-speed internet services to rural and remote regions in India.

BSNL Adds Two New AirFibre Plans

In January, the state-owned telco BSNL launched a new tech-service for the rural regions of the country for reasonable prices, under the Bharat AirFibre plans.

It is currently available in most Gram Panchayats across the country.

At its launch, the company shared its plan of adding about 100,000 new broadband customers in the upcoming fiscal.

The fibre uses the radio frequency (RF) technology on the spectrum band available in the rural areas, to provide high-speed internet to these areas.

While the Bharat AirFibre plans start at Rs 499 a month, BSNL has added two new plans to the existing list.

The two new plans, Airfibre Ultra and AirFibre Ultra Plus provide unlimited calling facilities and a download speed of upto 80Mbps, in addition to one free static IP address.

The AirFibre Ultra is priced at Rs 2995 and provides a download speed of upto 80 Mbps with Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of 5000GB, post which the speed is reduced to 15 Mbps.

The AirFibre Ultra Plus plan is priced at Rs 6995 and provides a download speed of upto 80 Mbps with Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of 7500GB, after which the speed is dropped to 25 Mbps.

Both the plans provide access to one month of free service for users choosing to buy the one year pack of these plans.

The BSNL Bharat AirFibre Plans are now available in all states of India, with effect from 06.04.2021.
