Hype Is Real: Ola Electric Scooter Gets Bookings From 1000 Cities! Reverse Mode Introduced
You start a business with some thought, some vision in your mind. You nurture that dream, cultivate it, build it. But there are very few who actually see it getting materialized. Ola group CEO and Chairman, Mr. Bhavish Aggarwal might just be one of the few, who see their dream realize. The company which had started as a cab sharing aggregator is about to revolutionize the Indian automobile sector and we are sure Mr. Bhavish Aggrawal is smiling ear to ear.
Ola Electric Scooter receives bookings from 1000 Cities!
Ola recently unveiled its electric scooter and had started its bookings. We had reported that within the first 24 hours, the company had received staggering 1 lakh bookings. Just when we thought that the news couldn’t get better, Mr. Bhavish Aggrawal announced that the company’s upcoming electric scooter has received bookings from over 1000 cities and towns!
The Ola Scooter will be launched in India on upcoming Independence Day i.e. 15th August 2021. If rumors are to be believed the starting price of the vehicle can be less than 1 lakh. More details of the price will be declared on 15th August only.
The EV is graced with a reverse mode
Yes, you read that right. The Ola Electric Scooter will have an interesting feature. It will be able to move in the reverse direction as well. Even though the feature is not much of a big deal as it has already been implemented in other competitors like Ather Energy and TVS.
Another interesting fact about the business model adopted by the company is that it has decided to skip the traditional distribution channel of distributors and dealers. The company will be delivering the electric scooters right at the doorsteps of all consumers.
The vehicle will also come up with 100 kmph top speed along with 150 km range on a single full charge.
The electric scooter is also expected to be ornamented with a colored TFT display as well along with twin LED projector headlamps. The scooter also claims to have the largest under-seat storage in the segment.
The premium electric scooter space in the country is going to witness aggressive competition in the upcoming days as Simple Energy is also set to launch its electric scooter which is supposed to have an impressive 240 km range. TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and not to forget, the Ather 450X, which is currently the best electric scooter in the country, are already fighting to grab end users’ attention and lead the market.
