Confirmed: All Flights From India To UAE Banned Till This Date; No Indian Can Fly Into Dubai
All international flights to UAE from India and 15 other countries will be suspended until 31st July, as confirmed by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

All International Flights From India To UAE Banned Till This 31 July
The list of other 15 countries includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia, Liberia, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Uganda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Zambia.
As per a circular by the GCAA, “The current development on the COVID- 19 pandemic leads the UAE to impose new flight and passengers’ restrictions. The UAE government is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates and instructions as necessary.”
Also, inbound travel from South Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka has been suspended since April 24.
Who Are Allowed To Travel?
Only a few select categories of travelers will be allowed to travel to the United Arab Emirates, and they are:
- UAE Nationals and Citizens
- Holders of UAE Golden Visas and Silver Visa
- Members of Diplomatic Missions accredited by both countries
- Official Delegates
- Those travelling on business/private planes. However, the UAE’s GCAA has set guidelines which state that only 8 passengers on business aircraft and private jets will be allowed irrespective of their actual capacity.
Recently, we reported to you that over the increasing risk of the Delta variant of the coronavirus, the Etihad Airways have decided not to allow air services to the UAE till July 31 from India Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Also, UAE flag carrier Emirates has also announced that it will be extending its suspension of flights from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka until at least Wednesday July 21.
As per reports, any one who has connected through any of these countries in the last 14 days will not be permitted to travel to the UAE.
The website of Etihad Airway states that only UAE residents and diplomats are allowed to travel. However, they will be required to present a coronavirus test which has been taken a maximum of 48 hours before the departure of their flight. They will also be required to adhere to all the rules and regulations against COVID-19.
UAE flag carrier Emirates has also announced that it will be extending its suspension of flights from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka until at least Wednesday July 21.

As per reports, Emirates’ Chief Operating Officer, Adel Al Redha has said in a media briefing that the carrier is waiting for directives from the UAE government before any final decisions are made regarding the resumption of flights from India.
