Fiat Is Launching A New SUV Called Pulse: Expected India Launch, Price, USPs?
Fiat has officially revealed the name of its all-new SUV, which will be dubbed the Pulse. Customers decided on the name Fiat Pulse via online voting, according to the Italian brand, which was announced a few days ago.
The Fiat Pulse is built on MLA, a new modular platform that is essentially an improved version of Argo’s PM1.
The platform is made of high-strength steel and is predicted to perform well in the Latin NCAP crash test.
New Fiat Pulse SUV Launch Date In India?
In Brazil, the new compact SUV will be released between September and October.
This is the brand’s first compact SUV to target the Brazilian market, with production set to commence in Betim (MG).
Sadly, the new Fiat will not be available in India!
However, Fiat’s parent company Stellantis is presently focusing on the Jeep brand in India, as well as the newcomer Citroen.
The Jeep three-row SUV, the Citroen CC21 compact SUV, and a derivative of the CC21 that will become the Jeep sub-four-metre SUV for the Indian market are all planned for India under the Stellantis brand.
Fiat Pulse SUV: Exterior Details
Fiat has confirmed that the Pulse will have a 2,532mm long wheelbase.
The wide wraparound headlamps and a wide grille that has the big Fiat logo in the centre.
The new Fiat Pulse SUV features the brand’s most recent style theme, which can also be found on newer Fiat models like the Argo and Strada.
At each end of the bumper are two triangular-shaped fog lamp housings. With thick black cladding that goes across the body, there is a noticeable chin that is separated from the bumper.
It also has gets stylish tail lamps, a sculpted tailgate, and a prominent bumper with a dual-exhaust setup.
To add to its SUV attitude, it also gets a rugged-looking skid plate upfront.
The Pulse SUV has a swooping upward window line, a prominent side character line, and partial cladding at the bottom.
Dual-tone paint schemes will be available on higher models as well.
Engine
The new Fiat SUV will be powered by a new 1.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine with 128 horsepower.
This engine will be coupled to an Aisin CVT transmission.
A 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine will also be offered. There will be a 109hp, 1.3-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine on the base variants.
