Redmi To Launch New Redmi K Series Phone
As we all know, Redmi has recently announced the Redmi K40 Gaming phone, and the phone floored everyone with its success! The phone clocked 100,000 sales in a single minute. This is primarily the motive behind Xiaomi’s plans to launch the new K Gaming sub-branch.
As suggested by a Weibo insider tip, there is a new phone by Redmi alongside the K40 Gaming one; however, there has been no official announcement about the phone yet.
The phone will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 (MT6891) instead of the Dimensity 1200 (MT6893) that powers the K40 Gaming.
The difference between these two processors is that the Dimensity 1100 does not come with a singular prime, a 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 core that is included in the Dimensity 1200. As per reports, instead of choosing the fourth big A78 core, clocked at 2.6 GHz. Additionally, both the processor come with the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and are based on a 6nm manufacturing process.
Will This Phone Be Redmi K40 Gaming Lite?
As per reports, this might be a sort of K40 Gaming “Lite” variant and will cost a bit less than the K40 Gaming phone. Redmi Gaming smartphone price is expected to start for around $300 (INR 22,000).
Additionally, as per some more leaked information by the same source, this phone will also come with a high refresh rate 2400 x 1080 pixel display, with a center punch hole selfie cam, similar to the K40 Gaming. The panel will also keep the 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color support with HDR10+ certification which is present on the K40 Gaming phone.
The camera on the phone will be a 64MP main camera and a 5,000 mAh battery, with 67W charging.
In short, the new smartphone will be a low key version of the Redmi K40 Gaming.
