Apple iOS 14.5 First Eligible Devices, Rollout Dates, New Features
Checkout which iPhones will first get iOS 14.5 update. Apple rolled out the press note confirming the iOS 14.5 update at the recent Spring event. With support for the new AirTags, users will have to install the latest iOS version on their iPhones. iOS 14.5 update has currently been made available via a public beta update. The company will soon be rolling out an iOS 14.5 stable version update. It will support AirTags where users will be able to unlock their iPhone with an Apple Watch.
The iOS 14.5 update will come with new Siri voice options, new emojis, App tracking transparency, 5G global support for dual-SIM iPhones and updated game controller support.
iOS 14.5 is said to be the last major update in the iOS 14 series. Apple is planning to announce iOS 15 at the upcoming WWDC event. To be available soon, you can update to iOS 14.5 by downloading and installing on supported iPhones. Go to Settings, then General and then click on Software update. All iPhones running on iOS 14.4.2 will be able to update to iOS 14.5, that’s iPhone 6s and above.

Your device has to be on iOS 14.4.2 to run the latest iOS 14.5. The existing devices even running iOS 14 will work with iOS 14.5.

iOS 14.5 Features: iOS 14.5 New Features, Updates
There a set of new features coming with the upcoming iOS 14.5 update before the next major iOS 15 update is rolled out.
- iPhones now can be unlocked using the Apple Watch.
- You have to lift your iPhone and a haptic feedback on the Apple Watch which will indicate that iPhone has been unlocked.
- The devices must be in close proximity to unlock the iPhone.
- iOS 14.5 has ATT or App Tracking Transparency which will bring in the new privacy changes which require apps to ask the user permission before tracking data.

- 200 new emojis including a redesigned vaccine emoji
- New voices for Siri
