About the selling of fake FASTag online, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has warned people about fake FASTags that some fraudsters are selling online.

Just like NHAI / IHMCL, these fraudsters are selling these online. They seem to be real but are not and hence some diligence at  the end of citizens can be instrumental.

In addition to these sites, FASTag can also be purchased from listed banks and authorized point of sale agents.  

There is a helpline number, 1033, provided so that people can complain about the fake FASTags to the National Highway Authority Of India.

Since 15 February, FASTags have been made compulsory across the country by the government.

If you are not having FASTag fitted on your vehicle, then you would have to pay double fee at the electronic toll plaza for the specific category the promotion.
