Mi 11 launch date officially confirmed. Xiaomi announced the Mi 11 launch date for both the Mi 11 series phones. The Mi 11 flagships will be the first phones in the world to run on Snapdragon 888, all set to launch on December 28. Xiaomi confirmed the 11 launch date on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo.
The devices are said to come with a 108MP main camera and a curved display, as leaked recently.
The display will come with a punch-hole on the top left corner, previously leaked by popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on microblogging website Weibo.
In a latest leak, the alleged schematic of the upcoming Mi phone, the diagonal size of Mi 11 is said to stand at 171.77mm (without bezels) has been measured, around 6.76 inches, slightly bigger than Mi 10 Pro 5G’s display. It will be a Quad HD+ display offering 120Hz / 144Hz refresh rate.
The other leaks claim Mi 11 Pro will sport a four-sided curved display with a punch-hole. Currently the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro come with dual curved displays. Xiaomi will unveil the Mi 10i series on January 5 2021, as per the reports.
Redmi Note 9 came to India late, so Redmi Note 10 launch India will happen by early next year. Redmi Note 10 launch date in India is expected by January / February 2021. XDA Developers spotted on MIUI 12 beta release that Mi 11 Pro will include QHD+ resolution display offering a pixel count of 1,440×3,200 pixels. Recently on Weibo an unnamed device has been rumoured has been hinted to offer QHD+ display. It will be able to switch between Quad HD+ and Full-HD to save battery.
It’s said to come in 6.76 inches, slightly bigger than Mi 10 Pro 5G’s display. It will be a Quad HD+ display offering 120Hz / 144Hz refresh rate.
The Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will be powered by the top Qualcomm chip, the Snapdragon 888. The names are yet to be confirmed, so they could be Mi 20 and Mi 20 Pro as well. Leaked Geekbench 5 results confirm that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 will be powered by the 5nm Snapdragon 888.
On December 1, Qualcomm will unveil the latest flagship processor Snapdragon 888.
Like last year, Xiaomi is said to launch the first Snapdragon 888 phone in the world. Leaked via a Weibo post, Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro has been confirmed to be using the upcoming Qualcomm flagship chip.
Snapdragon 888 will use the 5nm process. It will have the new X60 5G modem-RF system and is said to be 25 percent faster than the previous Snapdragon 865.
Coming to optics, the Mi 11 cameras are expected to get powerful lenses. Mi 11 Pro is expected to feature a main camera sensor which could range from 108-megapixel to 192-megapixels.
Mi 11 is speculated to use an ultra-wide-angle 48MP main camera with upgraded optical image stabilization features and a tiny 0.8 m pixel size, first of its kind. Last time, Mi 10 came with a 13MP sensor. It will be among the few significant upgrades compared to the predecessors.
