Design, Display: 90Hz Winning It?

The top of the three Narzo models, the Realme Narzo 20 Pro offers a premium design on the out. Narzo 20 Pro design has a V-pattern on the glass-like plastic rear panel with an inward curved rear panel. The device comes with a 6.5-inch 1080p display with 90Hz refresh rate.

The Screen-to-body ratio on Narzo 20 Pro is 90.5 percent and there is a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Narzo 20 Pro has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor inside the power button.

Realme Narzo 20 Pro is a well-designed device which balances the overall ergonomics in the right manner. The smoother 90Hz refresh rate helps with the animations.

Performance, Storage: Helio G95 Good Enough?

Realme Narzo 20 Pro is powered by an octa-core 2.05GHz MediaTek Helio G95 processor, same as Realme 7 with Mali-G76 engine for graphics. Realme Narzo 20 Pro runs on Android 10-based Realme UI. The Helio G95 is same as the old Helio G90T, a decent mid-budget gaming chipset to use.

Narzo 20 Pro combined with 90Hz display and G95 can make up for a good gaming experience.

In terms of day to day use, you may not actually find any difference between Realme 7 and Narzo 20 Pro. Overall, the chip does its job well and you won’t face any hurdle.

Cameras: Losing Out Here?

In terms of optics, Realme Narzo 20 Pro has a 48-megapixel primary sensor at the back with an f1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens with a field of view of 119 degrees and an aperture of f2.3, a 2-megapixel black-and-white sensor with f2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with f2.4 aperture.

For selfies, Realme Narzo 20 Pro has a 16-megapixel primary camera with f2.1 aperture inside the punch-hole setup.

Shots taken by the primary 48MP sensor come out with a lot of details and colours. Photos taken with the ultra-wide angle camera lose out in detail in difficult conditions. There’s noise in the photos in low light. The colour tones are not distorted by the camera and most shots have well balanced colours.

Battery, Fast Charging: The Big Winner?

Realme Narzo 20 Pro is backed by a sizeable 4,500mAh battery with 65W SuperDart Charge technology support. The 65W charging will top up the battery in less than 40 minutes via the USB-C port on the Narzo 20 Pro. The 4,500mAh battery on Narzo 20 Pro can last for a day with more than moderate usage.

65W SuperDart charging is the best part. You get 30 percent charge in 8 minutes and 70 percent in 20 minutes.

Verdict, Pricing: Should You Buy Realme Narzo 20 Pro?

Narzo 20 Pro price starts at Rs 14,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The top model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 16,999. Now coming to whether should you buy Realme Narzo 20 Pro or not, it could have a broad answer.

Narzo 20 Pro colour options include White Knight and Black Ninja. Narzo 20 Pro sale starts on September 25. It will be available via Flipkart and Realme online store.

Narzo 20 Pro do pass with flying colours, and is a decent above average overall mid-range smartphone, but not the best in this price segment.

Realme Narzo can easily beat some of the top phones from the Rs 20,000 category in India as Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy M31s, One Fusion Plus and company’s own Realme 7 Pro. Narzo 20 Pro does tick all the boxes right except for an AMOLED display and better camera.
