ASUS ROG Phone 3 Leaked With 5G, 16GB RAM, Snapdragon 865, 6,000mAh Battery: Most Powerful Gaming Phone?

ASUS ROG Phone 3 has been leaked on TENAA, the Chinese regulatory platform. The revealed specifications give out some key details about the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 3, the third generation ASUS ROG Phone series.

Qualcomm previously confirmed Asus ZenFone 7 and ASUS ROG Phone 3 will run on Snapdragon 865 SoC.

The gaming-centric ASUS ROG Phone series will continue to pack in the best of the hardware available in the market. ASUS ROG Phone 3 will come preloaded with Google Stadia and latest ROG gaming features.

ROG Phone 3 will feature Aura Lighting, Refresh Rate Control and Performance Boost.

The TENAA listing reveals ASUS ROG Phone 3 with 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with support for 5G connectivity. ASUS ROG Phone 3 will come with dual 5G SA/NSA support. The device will come with an optical under-display fingerprint scanner, similar to the last ROG device.

Under the hood ASUS ROG Phone 3 will be powered by the current Qualcomm flagship chip, Snapdragon 865.

Asus ROG Phone 3 will feature a similar design as the predecessor, the Asus ROG Phone II.

The upcoming ROG Phone 3 will feature a similar rectangular shape with horizontal camera setup. ROG Phone 3 will not come with any sort of display notch or hole-punch cutout. 

At the back, ROG Phone 3 will don an additional camera at the back, probably a telephoto lens. The TENAA ROG Phone 3 confirms no headphone jack. A USB Type-C port will double as a charging and audio port. The Asus gaming phone will sport dual front-facing speakers as the predecessors. 

Asus ROG Phone 3 will probably end up as one of the fastest and most powerful Android smartphones on earth. The listed details reveal a maximum of 16GB, expected to be LPDDR5. Galaxy S20 Ultra and Nubia Red Magic 5G currently feature up to 16GB of RAM.

Asus ROG Phone 3 will be available in multiple storage options: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB UFS 3.0 storage. ROG Phone 3 will run on Android 10 with ROG UI on top including gaming-focused ROG features. The device will be powered by a 6,000mAh battery with support for upto 50W fast charging technology.

ASUS ROG Phone 3 Launch, Price: Coming To India?

Asus ROG Phone 3 launch may happen very soon, expected in July. ASUS ROG Phone 3 India launch is expected sometime later, probably some weeks after the device is initially unveiled globally. The company has brought the previous ROG devices in India.

ASUS ROG Phone 3 price is expected to stay in the Rs 70,000-mark in India.
