Netflix’ Rs 5/Month Experiment
Netflix has rolled out a new experiment for new users, wherein they can access Netflix at Rs 5 per month only.
This is valid only for new users.
Who Are Eligible?
Only new users are eligible to get access to Netflix at Rs 5/month.
However, not every new user will be able to get this offer. Only few selected new users will be given a chance to use Netflix for Rs 5 per month.
How Long Will This Offer Last?
Only for a month. Basically, this is a trial offer for ‘selected’ new users, who can pay Rs 5 for the first month, and gain access to all the shows of Netflix.
Once the trial of one month is over, the user will be asked to pay the full month rent.
On Which Platforms Will This Offer Run?
The offer of Rs 5/month for new uses, as a trial for first month, is applicable for both mobile and desktop/laptop users of Netflix in India.
And the best part is that all the plans will be eligible for this offer. Hence, if a user opts for mobile only plan of Rs 199/month, then also they can get the trail of Rs 5/month, and if the user opts for the higher valued plan of Rs 499 to Rs 799 for desktop access, then also Rs 5/month trial plan will work.
What About One-Month Free Offer?
This new Rs 5 per month trial offer has replaced the earlier offer of free access of a month.
The free one month offer was, in fact, rolled back in December.
A Netflix spokesperson said, “This is a new marketing promotion designed to help more people discover Netflix. Depending on its success, we may roll it out more widely.”
