AWS Community Day Pune Is A Smash Hit; Techies, Entrepreneurs Celebrate The Power Of The Community
Amazon Web Services or AWS is a name to reckon with, when it comes to Cloud computing, globally.
As per a Forbes report, AWS currently commands more than 50% share in the public cloud infrastructure market globally and is giving a tough fight to the likes of Google, Microsoft, IBM and other Cloud service providers.
In India, AWS continues to grow and capture market share, owing to its superior service and innovative Cloud solutions.
However, besides the technology angle, there is another aspect that is empowering AWS to expand its Cloud services globally, and that is its users and developer community.
AWS users in India have nurtured and developed a strong community, that works together through knowledge sharing and open discussions, to improve skills, understand and use AWS Cloud services and solutions more effectively.
In Pune, AWS Community boasts of more than 5000 members, and on February 8th, they came together to celebrate the power of community and Cloud together.
AWS Community Day Pune Attracts 600+ Attendees
More than 600 participants in Pune came together for celebrating the first AWS Community Day in Pune on February 8th, where they attended various knowledge sharing sessions, networked with other members, and had a great time.
Expert speakers were invited to share their insights on some of the advanced technical topics such as Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, performance computing, and discuss real and live case studies on AWS and more.
A Community-Driven By Passion
AWS Community has ‘AWS Heroes’, who lead from the front, and take the community initiatives forward.
Overall, the Asia-Pacific region has 29 such AWS Heroes, of which 7 are from India.
We interacted with one such community hero: Prashanth HN, who is not only an AWS Serverless Hero, but also a founder of Antstack.IO and serial entrepreneur.
He explained to us the whole objective of creating such a vibrant community of Cloud developers, entrepreneurs and Cloud enthusiasts.
He said, “When the community comes together for a common objective, then magic is bound to happen. See here (referring to the AWS Community Day celebrations), the community has themselves arranged all these, got the support of sponsors, and pulled off this massive event.”
Prashanth explained that just like AWS has several reusable stacks, which can be used by other members to take their projects forward, AWS Community strongly believes in the power of sharing knowledge, and experience, which helps the entire community and the eco-system.
We spoke with few participants as well, and received some amazing reviews of the overall experience. One such techie, who works with a startup in Pune said that no other Cloud provider has this community support, which AWS provides, and this is one of the reasons why they are investing heavily into it.
