As per a post made by Xiaomi on Weibo, Xiaomi Mi CC is launching on July 2nd, in China.

There has been no update regarding the launch of Xiaomi Mi CC smartphone in India, or any other part of India.

The first two smartphones under this series will be Xiaomi Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e, as we reported yesterday.

Who Actually Is Manufacturing Xiaomi Mi CC Smartphone?

Xiami has partnered with Meitu AI Aesthetics Lab for designing and launching the new Xiaomi Mi CC series smartphone.

Xiaomi had acquired Meitu’s hardware division last year, under a unique arrangement. While Meitu will continue to sell smartphones under their brand, Xiaomi will take care of design, R&D, and sales. However, at the same time, Meitu will handle the camera part as well.

What Is Special About Mi CC Smartphones?

The entire branding and their demographics for this new series is interesting, and a unique initiative.

CC here means Chic & Cool, and as per some branding experts, the design has been customized for women.

Another interesting fact: 9 in  Xiaomi Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e denotes 9 years of Xiaomi company.

Who Are The Designers Behind Xiaomi Mi CC Smartphones?

The team at Meitu which has designed this smartphone series are called Chic & Cool 90 team.

As per reports, art students have been roped in for designing this new Chic & Cool series of smartphones, and the fact that it shall be female-oriented has been aptly emphasized.
