Jio Launches 2 Happy New Year Plans; Upto 2GB Daily Data & Unlimited Calling!
The two new Happy New Year Plans offer the best value for money among the plans with a 28 days validity.
It is almost new year and Reliance Jio has a new year’s gift for its subscribers, in the form of two new prepaid ‘Happy New Year Plans’. The two new plans, Jio 199 and Jio 299, fill up a crucial gap between their Jio 149 and Jio 309 plans. These will offer daily data benefits in addition to free voice calling, unlimited SMS (100 per day in accordance with TRAI’s regulations), free national roaming and free access to Jio’s premium apps with their Prime Membership.
So, what’s special about these plans?
Jio 199Â is the cheapest plan, among all the operators, offering 1GB or more of 4G data per day and Jio 299 plan is the cheapest one offering 2GB of 4G data per day. And this is all in addition to the other usual benefits listed above.

You Pay Rs. 199/- for 28 days.
You get 33.6GB data with a daily limit of 1.2GB. After daily quota is used up, the speed is reduced to 64kbps.

Jio 299
You Pay Rs. 299/- for 28 days.
You get 56GB data with a daily limit of 2GB. After daily quota is used up, the speed is reduced to 64kbps.

- 100 Free SMS per day
- Free Access to Jio’s Premium Apps with the Jio Prime Membership.
Jio Plans Offer Excellent Value For Money
These new plans offer good value for money for those who are on a tight budget. All said and done, users end up paying slightly less than Rs.6/- per GB of data. And that’s not all.
In November this year, Jio had launched their Jio Triple Cashback Offer which offered benefits upto Rs. 2,599/- on recharges of Rs. 399/- or more. Initially meant for a short run, Jio has now extended the offer till 25th December.
So far, Jio’s plans have proven to be more cost-effective than the offerings from other telecoms.
