The Moto X4, which was launched yesterday, offers mid-range specifications at a slightly premium price.
Coolpad Cool Play 6 was launched back in August, and still remains one of the best mid-range smartphones available in the market.
Moto X4 made it’s debut in the country yesterday, offering mid-range features at a slightly premium price. Though there is a big price difference between the Coolpad Cool Play 6 and the newly-launched Moto X4, both the handsets offer an array of specifications which are similar.

Moto X4 Vs Coolpad Cool Play 6:Â In-Depth Comparison
In spite of a big price difference, Moto X4 and Coolpad Cool Play 6 have a lot of similarities.
Design And Build
Moto X4:Â The handset is just 8mm thin. It features an anodized aluminium metal and glass build all around, giving it a solid feel and sturdy finish.
Coolpad Cool Play 6:Â The Coolpad Cool Play 6 has a metal build. But it is not a unibody. It has plastic caps at the top and bottom, to let radio signals pass through. It has chamfered edges on the sides. The smartphone is nicely weighted to give it a solid feel in hand.
Display
Moto X4:Â It features a 5.2 inch 1080p IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 424 ppi. It gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top.
Coolpad Cool Play 6: Cool Play 6 comes with a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 401 ppi. It has an ‘Ambient Display’ setting which wakes the screen every time you pick up the phone and also each time you receive a notification, when it is turned on.

Moto X4:Â Under the hood, Moto X4 is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 630 SoC with Adreno 508 GPU and 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
Coolpad Cool Play 6:Â It gets its power from a 1.95 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 653 SoC with Adreno 510 and 6 GB of RAM.
Software
Moto X4:Â It runs Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box with a near-stock Android experience. An, Android Oreo 8.0 update has been confirmed for this smartphone.
Coolpad Cool Play 6: The Cool Play 6 runs Android 7.1 out of the box with Coolpad’s own Journey UI on top. This offers a near-stock experience with some handy features baked into the UI.

Moto X4:Â It will be available with two internal storage capacities, 32GB or 64GB. The storage can be expanded up to 2TB via a micro SD card.
Coolpad Cool Play 6:Â The Cool Play 6 comes with 64GB of onboard storage. There is no provision for expanding the built-in storage.

Moto X4:Â It sports a dual-camera setup of a primary 12MP sensor and a secondary 8MP ultra wide sensor, supported by dual-tone LED flash. Up front, there’s a 16 MP selfie-shooter with a dedicated front LED flash.
Coolpad Cool Play 6: The Cool Play 6 has a dual rear setup of two 13 MP shooters (RGB + Monochrome) paired with a dual-tone LED flash with multiple shooting modes. At the front,there’s an 8MP selfie-shooter.

To Conclude…
Both these smartphone have their own sets of advantages and disadvantages. Where the Cool play 6 has the bigger battery, the X4 supports turbo charging. The Cool Play 6 has the better processor and more RAM, but the X4 has expandable storage.
But, we feel that the Moto X4 is overpriced for what it offers. The Coolpad Cool Play 6 on the other hand offers excellent value for money with its better processor, more RAM at a significantly lower price.
