Snapdragon 835 is the flagship processor of 2017 and it has made it’s way into all the premium flagship smartphones of this year. The octa-core chipset from Qualcomm is more energy-efficient and powerful than any other mobile processor in the world right now.
The processor has recorded a 30% more area efficiency, 27% higher performance and 40% lesser battery consumption than Qualcomm’s former flagship SoC. The Exynos 8895 in Samsung’s India flagships and Kirin 960 from Huawei are equivalent to Snapdragon 835 in terms of performance and battery-efficiency.

The newly launched Nokia 8 sports the Snapdragon 835 chipset, was launched globally back in August and it made it’s way to India back in September. Being the first flagship device from the new Nokia, the device features a 5.3 inch Quad HD LCD display. It runs on Snapdragon 835 with 4GB of RAM clubbed with 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS (promised upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo and Android P). The most premium device from the house of Xiaomi, Mi MIX 2 was unveiled globally in September and it made it’s way to India in October. The device sports a stunning 5.99 inch Full HD+ bezel-less display. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 sports the Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of on-board storage.
