Xiaomi is ready to launch their successor to the bezel-less wonder, Xiaomi Mi MIX on September 11th, a day before Apple’s global launch event. The Chinese tech giant might have done this on purpose, so as to steal some limelight from Apple’s launch happening on September 12th.

Qualcomm Confirms Snapdragon 835 Chipset
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 smartphone is rumoured to have even thinner bezels compared to it’s predecessor. Qualcomm has confirmed that it will carry a Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood, have 3D facial recognition feature and an impressive 93% screen-to-body ratio.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2: RAM On-board
There is still no clarity over the amount of RAM included in the Mi Mix 2. Some reports suggest that it will have 6GB RAM, while some rumours point out that the Mi MIX 2 could come with 8GB RAM. The Mi MIX 2 will come in two storage variants – 128GB and 256GB.
Leaked Retail Box And Images
As the official date has been declared, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2’s retail box and some promo campaign images has been revealed, courtesy of CEO Lei Jun. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will probably carry a dual camera setup with 19.0-megapixel primary sensors at the back and a 13.0-megapixel shooter up front. It will run the latest MIUI V9 built upon Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
Snapdragon 836 SoC and Android Oreo Are Just Rumours
Qualcomm has confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will sport the Snapdragon 835 processor and we know that the latest MIUI V9 is based on Nougat. There have been several leaks in the past hinting at Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 carrying the Snapdragon 836 SoC and running the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. But, as the launch date has been confirmed, both have proved to be rumours.
Display And Battery
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to sport a 6.4” bezel-less Quad HD display. It will have a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels with a 93% screen-to-body ratio. The Mi Mix 2 will be powered by a mammoth 4400mAh battery.
