iPhone 8 is probably the most-awaited phone everywhere right now and finally we have an official launch date. Late on Thursday, Apple confirmed their next major launch event on September 12 at their new campus – the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California.

It is being widely expected, that the company will unveil the iPhone 8 with a series of other Apple products at the September 12 Launch Event.

10 Years Of The iPhone

It’s a special year for Apple. The California based company will mark the tenth anniversary of their iconic iPhone, and iPhone 8 is going to be their anniversary edition iPhone, as they complete ten years of the launch of the original iPhone.

iPhone 7S And iPhone 7S Plus

Like every year, this year too, we will get to see the launch of ‘S’ models, iPhone 7S iPhone 7S Plus, along with iPhone 8. The company is expected to launch all three iPhone models at the event, which will include the much anticipated iPhone 8. The company might also announce an upgraded version of their Apple TV media streaming device, which will now support 4K and HDR technology.

In addition to the launch of the new iPhones, Apple might announce the Apple Watch 3. The latest smartwatch from Apple might come with the latest iteration with built-in GPS.

Since the last iPhone launch, iPhone 8 has been the subject of innumerable rumours.

1. Bezel Less OLED Display

iPhone 8 is going to be first iPhone to carry a Bezel Less 5.8 inch OLED display, which might carry an impressive 93% body-to-screen aspect ratio

2. Wireless Charging

It is also going to be the first iPhone to support Wireless Charging, and has been specifically designed to accommodate the functionality.

3. Touch ID Technology

It is going to support next gen Touch ID technology, and the iPhone 8 will come with an on-screen fingerprint scanner.

4. 512GB Internal Storage

Apple is also rumoured to ramp up internal storage in the latest iPhone, and it might go as high as 512GB.

5. Improved Dual Camera

The next iPhone will also carry a dual camera setup, but with improved sensors for better photography experience.

6. 3D Face Recognition

The iPhone 8 will most likely pack in the new unannounced 3D face recognition feature, for unlocking the device.

7. The Most Expensive iPhone Ever

The iPhone 8 is going to be the most expensive iPhone ever. It is being expected to carry a price tag of around $1000. In India, the price could go as high as Rs. 1 lakh. After the launch on September 12, the iPhone 8 will go on sale after September 23, globally. In India, it might launch around late October or early November.

Iphone 7s And Iphone 7s Plus – Specs and Features

Both iPhone 7S and the iPhone 7S Plus will see some hardware improvements, which will include a better camera and may be, a new design. They will still be closer to the existing latest iPhones in design.
