Moto G5S and G5S Plus Launching Today; The Competition Heats Up
Motorola is all ready to launch their new successors to the hit Moto G series, Moto G5S Plus and Moto G5S in the country today. Both the two phones were launched globally a few weeks back in NYC.

Expected Price in India
Both the phones are being expected to carry a price tag lower than the global price, and would probably be priced lower than Rs. 20,000.
The Moto G5S Plus which sports a bigger 5.5” screen is expected to be priced between Rs. 17,000/- and Rs.19,000/-. The smaller among the two, Moto G5S will feature a 5.2” screen, and is expected to carry a price tag between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 17,000/-.
Motorola generally tends to price their phones lower in India as compared to their global prices. Let’s see what Lenovo have in mind for these two mid-range flagships.
India Launch
The, Moto G5S Plus will be an Amazon India exclusive. The launch will be streamed live on Amazon India website today at 12 noon IST. The specs are already out, and Chinese giant may bring in some change for the Indian market. The Moto G5S is expected to be launched as an offline exclusive in India.
Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus Replacement
These two will be replacing the previous hits Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus in Motorola’s lineup of mid-range flagships in the country. Moto G5S Plus will carry dual 13.0-megapixel cameras at the back. The Moto G5S uses the same 16.0-megapixel shooter used in the Moto G5 Plus.
What’s New?
Both the phones, G5S Plus and G5S, have a new redesigned shell on the outside. Both phones will feature an all-aluminium body with chamfered curved edges on the sides, which has now become a trademark design on all Motorola phones. Unlike earlier budget Moto phones, both these phones do not carry any plastic at all.

The Competition
The price is not yet finalized, but to a point it is a given that these two will be priced under the Rs. 20,000 price point. Both these new Moto G phones will compete against the likes of the Nokia 6, Redmi Note 4, Honor 6X, newly launched Coolpad Cool Play 6, upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5X and Moto’s own hits Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus in the Indian market.
