Vodafone Launches Unlimited 3G/4G Hourly Internet Pack @ Rs. 16!
The telecom war is getting fiercer in India with the latest trend of unlimited data offering. Airtel was the first to announce Rs. 9,000 worth of free data benefits to its subscribers, but now Vodafone has upped its game by offering unlimited internet (3G or 4G) at just Rs. 16/hour.
Earlier the telecom war was limited to just voice calling, but all operators nullified that advantage by offering unlimited voice calling plan of their own. Now as the consumers (high-end only) are getting benefitted daily with such lucrative packs from the leading telecom operators, let’s not forget to thank Reliance Jio for starting this by offering unlimited voice and data combo plans.
Vodafone Launches Prepaid Packs With Unlimited Benefits Per Hour
This Vodafone unlimited data pack is called “SuperHour” and would be available to all Vodafone subscribers pan-India starting 9 January.
SuperHour will offer unlimited internet to Vodafone 3G/4G customers at just Rs. 16/hour, whereas the unlimited 2G internet would be available at Rs. 5/hour. Vodafone would also be offering unlimited on-net calls for an hour at just Rs. 7. All Vodafone subscribers would be able to repeatedly purchase these packs via digital channels and retail touch points.
Vodafone has launched these unlimited data packs at a time when the content streaming is picking up pace in the country. More and more people are watching content online, be with YouTube or live TV.
“We are breaking all shackles that concern customers in their use of internet with SuperHour. Our customers are now increasingly consuming more content and video online and with this SuperHour offer, they will be able to enjoy more of it in a worry free manner,” said Sandeep Kataria, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India.
Vodafone Will Promote SuperHour Aggressively
In this era of digital advertising and aggressive marketing, just offering a good product is not enough. Success comes only when good products are complemented with heavy promotions.
In the line of same, Vodafone is planning to launch a multi-media campaign for supporting the launch of SuperHour. The campaign will focus on the advantages of the pack and will be live on TV, OOH (Out-of-home) advertising, Radio, and digital channels.
Vodafone SuperHour Availability
Now before you get excited about this unlimited internet pack, please know that the SuperHour packs would be available with a slight variation in different telecom circles, except Bihar & Jharkhand, MP & Chattisgarh, Punjab, HP & J&K and AP & Telangana.
It would be interesting to note how Airtel and Idea respond to this “SuperHour” pack. But I believe that they will retaliate by launching their own unlimited hourly internet packs priced close to Rs. 15.
