Now, Aircel Offers Unlimited Voice Calls & 2G Data In Delhi Via FRC148
In a move to counter extension of free benefits by Reliance Jio under its ‘Jio Happy New Year Offer’ and to improve its subscriber addition rate Aircel has started offering unlimited voice calls in Delhi & NCR telecom circle to its new subscribers via the FRC148.
By doing the first time recharge of Rs. 148, all new Aircel subscribers would get unlimited Aircel-Aircel calls valid for 3 months and free 2G data carrying a validity of 1 month.
New Aircel subscribers would also get 15,000 local/STD seconds (Aircel to other numbers) each month for the first 3 months.
“Aircel is redefining the value proposition with a whole range of exciting Data and Voice products. The recent drop in the average selling price of smart phones has led to an explosion in the adoption of smart phones among Indians. More and more Indians are using mobile for calling as well as surfing/sharing online,” said Harish Sharma, Regional Manager- North, Aircel.
Here Is The Catch…
To be very frank, this Aircel FRC148 pack doesn’t come with any hidden catch per se, but to enjoy the free voice calling benefits the subscribers would need to recharge their Aircel numbers with at least Rs. 50 in the current month to enjoy the unlimited benefits in the corresponding months.
Also the “free 2G data” that the subscribers would get would be valid only for the first month and carries a FUP (Fair Usage Policy) of just 500 MB.
This FRC148 pack makes a lot of sense if your friend circle either uses Aircel or you can convince them to switch. New subscribers will also get 45,000 free seconds (in total) and 500 MB 2G data.
Further, you would also be required to recharge your number with at least Rs. 50 each month if you wish to enjoy the free voice benefits in the next month.
And yes, as an aside, if you did not know, Aircel has also started with Home Delivery of SIM cards. However, you need to apply for the SIM online and it will be delivered at your doorstep!

Aircel Is Not The Only One Offering Unlimited Voice Calling Packs
Now before you start thinking of the Aircel FRC148 as a super value-for-money pack, let me tell you that this is not the first pack to offer free voice calling benefits.
Aircel had earlier announced the FRC149 offering unlimited Aircel-Aircel voice calls and 1 GB 3G data, but has now launched a different plan.
Reliance Communications had also announced unlimited voice calling plans (truly unlimited and valid for any number in India) starting Rs. 149 for expanding their Data Combo packs.
If you are a Jio subscriber then all these plans won’t make much sense to you for obvious reasons, but if you don’t own a 4G phone and still want a good deal, then this you must check these plans before taking a call.
