Apple Watch, which was included in our list of most innovative inventions of 2014, would be launched in India next month. November 6th is the date when one of the most anticipated wearable gadgets from Apple, would be finally available in India.

Flipkart, India’s lighthouse ecommerce platform has had a bumper Big Billion Day sale in 2015. According to a top Flipkart executive, they sold more than $200 million (approx Rs. 1300 Crore) worth of Mobile phones during the five-day Big Billion say sale extravaganza.

This is going to be music to ears (literally) for Android users – The news of Apple Music coming on Android is not only true and it may soon arrive on Google Play store.

Amazon, which has already surpassed Walmart as the most valuable retailer in USA, is not quite popular for posting profits during their quarterly reports. In fact, after being founded in 1994, they posted their first profits after 7 years in 2001.

Led by Reliance Industries, Viacom18’s digital arm will soon launch an online video-on-demand service which would cater to the restless, always-on-the-go generation of Internet savvy Indian netizens. Named as VOOT, their logo and brand identity was recently unveiled.

Freecharge, one of the leading mobile wallet companies in India has launched a mobile app that solves this problem. Called ‘Juice – Phone Buddy’ app, it helps you to track your balance and daily consumption of talktime and mobile data in real time.

Mobile and tablet maker Datawind (Aakash Tablet fame) is partnering with Reliance Communication to launch world’s most affordable Smartphone price at Rs. 999 (just over USD 15). This smartphone is expected to launch by end of this year

TRAI order to compensate for call drops has not gone down well with Telecom service providers, and for a good reason – according to some estimates, they could end up paying users as much as Rs.54,000 crore per annum as compensation for call drops.

World Bank has released their updated global ranking of “Ease of Doing Business”, and there is some massive improvement in India’s position. Compared to last year, we have jumped 12 spots to be ranked at 130 out of 189 countries. Last year, we were ranked 142 in this same list, as we had actually slipped two positions.

Airtel, India’s largest telecom operator with over 232 million subscribers have announced new data benefits for their mobile internet users. New data deals and offers include Data Cashback, Family Data Share, Smartphone Surprises and other benefits that will be offered to customers free of cost.

Soon, Indian consumers could buy Mutual Funds online on ecommerce sites similar to Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon and others – Market regulator SEBI (Securities & Exchange Board in India) plans to soon issue norms that will allow ecommerce companies to sell Mutual Fund products online.

Paytm, India’s largest m-commerce company has launched financial services payment feature – You can now pay premiums for your insurance and Gold Loans. To offer this, Paytm has tied up with ICICI Prudential Life, Reliance Life and Religare.

After Reliance Industries and Birla Group, it’s the turn of Tata Sons to get smitten by the ever-burgeoning ecommerce market in India. As per reports coming in, Tata Sons has confirmed that ecommerce is their next destination.

Quikr is all set to launch their new offering: QuikrServices. Aimed at tapping this huge, unorganized market of traditional services, QuikrServices will connect the offline with online.

Bajaj Finserv, India’s leading consumer durable finance company has launched India’s first EMI Finance App. The app gives users the freedom to apply for an instant EMI finance anytime, anywhere.
