Instamojo Launches InstaPay To Collect Online Payments Just With Your Username
Instamojo, a platform to easily collect payments online for digital goods has now added a new feature called Instapay that makes it even more easier to send and collect payments online. With Instapay, the sender just needs to have person’s instamojo username to make payments.
Instapay takes the hassle of remembering one’s bank account or any other details completely off the table. So, whether you are a service provider or a freelancer or a professional who wants to accept money – just share your Instamojo username and let the payee make payments to it. From the payee’s perspective, they can use various payment methods including debit/credit cards or Net banking.
The payments made on Instapay are then transferred to connected bank account of the seller or service provider
Here is an example, lets say we are making a payment to “Arun Prabhudesai” and his username is “arun_p”, payee just needs to go to http://Instamojo.com/@arun_p/ , where they will get following screen.
Just enter the amount, the purpose and Pay!
The payment could be made through Bank account via NEFT or Credit/Debit card. Once the payment is done successfully, the amount will show up in his dashboard.
Advantages of Instapay
The foremost reason why Instapay will appeal to lot of people is because of it’s simplicity. You have to simply remember the username, that’s it!
And it’s portable – for the person who wants to collect payments, they can simply share their username or url or link it from their website or simply share it on social networks.
No upfront fees – Instamojo does not have any upfront fees. Anyone can create their account and username on Instamojo and start collecting payments. They generally charge 1.9% for every successful sale on Instamojo – incase, of Instapay the fees are expected to be same (the website does not explicitly say how much they charge per transaction).
We can safely say that Instapay is probably the simplest way of collecting (and sending) payments online. Next time you want to collect payments from someone, do give it a try!
