Micromax Unveils Canvas Nitro A310, A 5-inch, Dual-Sim, Octacore, 2GB RAM Phone At 12990!
Micromax has today unveiled in a glitzy launch event their new flagship smartphone – The Canvas Nitro A 310.
The new Canvas Nitro has everything you would expect from a top-end phone with some added bells and whistles that would appeal to many Indian consumers. Having said that, we also have to point out that none of the features this phone has, are not something we have not seen earlier.
Let us first look at the specifications.
Canvas Nitro A310 Specifications
The Canvas Nitro has a 5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 HD resolution to boot. For a flagship, we would have expected a higher resolution, but 1280X720 is good enough too. Even the color depth is only moderate at 294 pixels per inch. Interesting aspect about the screen is that it comes with oleophobic coating that prevents finger print staining on the screen. Micromax claims that the screen has a 178 degree viewing angle.
As far as the processor goes, it has Mediatek’s 6592 1.7GHz Tru Octa Core Processor coupled with Quad core ARM Mali 450@700MHz GPU. The phone carried a respectable 2GB ram to complement the CPU and GPU. These specifications are sure to easily handle any heavy games or apps you throw at it.
In camera department, the Canvas Nitro seems to excel having 13 megapixel auto-focus rear and a 5 megapixel front selfie front camera. The rear camera has a Sony IMX135 CMOS sensor with large F2.2 aperture that should help taking decent pictures even in low light.
In storage department, the phone has 8GB ROM with 32GB expandable memory slot through micro SD card. The battery is decently rated at 2500 mAH which Micromax claims to offer 10 hours of talk time and 320 hours of standby time.
From connectivity and other features, it has all the standard features including, 3G, Edge, Bluetooth, USB connectivity etc. Canvas Nitro is already available on Snapdeal!
Price
Given the fierce competition from likes of Xiaomi and Motorola in recent times, we had expected Micromax to price Canvas Nitro at lower end. However, the phone is priced at Rs. 12,990. While this is a good price, it will not top the charts at value for money phones that we think. That tag, we think, still remains with Xiaomi’s Mi 3 and Redmi 1S, both of which have really great price tags.
At 12990, the phones will sell quite well in offline channels (as Xiaomi’s are not available offline). You can buy Micromax Canvas Nitro A310 immediately on Snapdeal – Here is the link.
