Airtel has announced today that it has bagged exclusive video rights for UEFA Euro 2012 on Mobile platform. With this, Airtel mobile customers across India can enjoy exclusive access to mobile and video content (including LIVE streaming) of exciting soccer matches during UEFA Euro 2012.
This is great news for all the Indian Soccer fans – however, it does not come cheap. As an Airtel subscriber, if you live stream the entire match on 3G, you may end up paying close to Rs. 200 per match. On 2G it is quite reasonable (Rs. 20 for 80 mins), but I am not sure how live streaming on 2G would work. Airtel has introduced packs that will allow varied level of updates to its customers
