Xiaomi's Most Powerful Smartphone Of 2023: Xiaomi 13 Pro Launched In India! (Check Specs, Price, USPs & More)

So far, the business has only introduced the Xiaomi 13 Pro in India.

Let’s look at the phone’s noteworthy features and specs!

Xiaomi 13 Series Makes Its Global Debut

The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro were first introduced in China in December 2022, and the company with its headquarters there is now bringing the products to international markets.

The Xiaomi 13 series won’t be available in the US when it launches, but it will be there in the UK, Europe, and other parts of Asia, according to previous releases. The ‘most powerful’ Xiaomi phone to date, the 13 Pro, was introduced in India.

The phone will be for sale starting next month after recently being listed on the Amazon website.

Chipset

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The current most potent Android SoC is this one. The new flagship devices from OnePlus (OnePlus 11 Pron) and Samsung (Galaxy S23 series) share the same processor.

According to Samsung, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets powering the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones are specially designed for them. The MIUI 14 operating system, which powers the Xiaomi 13 Pro, is based on Android 13. With Android 13 preinstalled, the phone becomes the first Xiaomi device to do so.

Camera Specs

The company’s first Leica-branded phone is the Xiaomi 13 series. As a result, the phone’s primary selling point is its camera.

The phone’s India price has not yet been disclosed by Xiaomi, but it is most likely to cost more than Rs 60,000.

Comparing the smartphone to its predecessor, the camera has undergone a significant improvement. With a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom and Leica’s Floating Lens, as well as a 50MP ultra-wide lens, it has a triple rear camera setup.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a single 32MP selfie camera on the front. Leica, a leading manufacturer of cameras, contributed its engineering expertise to the camera setup on the back.

Display

The 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED panel on the Xiaomi 13 Pro has the same specifications as its predecessor’s display: a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1440p resolution. An ambient colour temperature sensor built into the screen modifies the colour temperature to match the surroundings.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has an incredibly slim body and a premium finish. The smartphone has a bezel-free display and a metal frame. Stereo speakers tuned for Dolby Atmos are another common specification.

Battery, IP68 Rating, Variants

The Xiaomi 13 Pro bumps support charging at up to 120W. The phone can charge wirelessly at 50W and wirelessly in reverse at 10W. Reverse charging allows the phone to charge additional devices.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has an official IP68 rating, making it dust- and water-resistant.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro will be offered in Ceramic White or Black and two memory configurations: 12/256GB and 12/512GB.
