Infosys is set to consider an interim dividend for the financial year 2026-27 when its Board of Directors meets on October 22 and 23. The decision will come alongside the company’s second-quarter financial results, making the upcoming Board meeting an important event for Infosys shareholders.

With Gross Profit Of Rs 15,000 Crore, Will Infosys Announce Interim Dividend?

Infosys Board To Meet On October 23

Infosys has scheduled its Board meeting for October 22 and 23, 2026. The company will review its financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026.

The Board will also consider whether to declare an interim dividend for FY27.

Importantly, the company has not yet announced the amount of any potential dividend. The payout will depend on the Board’s decision.

Infosys Usually Pays Two Dividends A Year

Infosys follows a pattern of paying dividends twice a year.

According to the company’s investor information, an interim dividend is generally declared in October alongside the second-quarter results. A final dividend is normally recommended in April along with the full-year results.

This makes the October Board meeting the usual period for Infosys’ interim dividend decision.

How Much Dividend Did Infosys Pay Last Year?

For FY26, Infosys declared an interim dividend of Rs 23 per equity share in October 2025.

The company subsequently recommended a final dividend of Rs 25 per share in April 2026.

This took the total regular dividend for FY26 to Rs 48 per share.

For comparison, the total dividend for FY25 was Rs 43 per share, comprising an interim dividend of Rs 21 and a final dividend of Rs 22.

Infosys Has Increased Its Dividend Over The Years

Infosys’ dividend history shows a gradual increase in its regular payouts over the years.

The company has stated that, under its capital allocation policy, it expects to return approximately 85% of free cash flow cumulatively over a five-year period through a combination of semi-annual dividends, share buybacks and special dividends, subject to applicable laws and approvals.

The company also expects to progressively increase its annual dividend per share, excluding any special dividend.

What Could Happen On October 23?

The key announcement for shareholders will be the amount of the interim dividend, if the Board approves one.

Infosys is also expected to announce its second-quarter financial results during the meeting.

The company has already confirmed October 23 as the earnings release date for the quarter ending September 30, 2026.

If an interim dividend is declared, Infosys will subsequently announce the relevant record date and payment details.

Why The Dividend Announcement Matters

For investors who hold Infosys shares, the dividend provides a direct cash return from the company’s profits and cash generation.

The amount announced will also provide an indication of how Infosys is continuing to implement its capital allocation policy.

However, the dividend amount should not be assumed based solely on previous payouts. The final decision rests with the Board after reviewing the company’s financial position and other factors.

For now, shareholders will have to wait until the October 22-23 Board meeting for the official announcement.

Summary

Infosys will consider an interim dividend for FY27 during its Board meeting on October 22 and 23, alongside its September-quarter financial results. The company paid Rs 23 per share as interim dividend in FY26 and Rs 25 as final dividend. Infosys has not yet announced the amount of the upcoming payout, which will be decided by the Board.
