Vivo has officially launched its new X500 flagship smartphone series in China, introducing the Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max.
The new lineup brings major upgrades in cameras, processors and battery capacity, with the top-end X500 Pro Max featuring an 8,000mAh battery and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
Three Phones In The New X500 Series
The Vivo X500 series includes three models aimed at different segments of the premium smartphone market.
The standard X500 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, while the X500 Pro comes with a more compact 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED panel. The X500 Pro Max gets the largest display in the lineup at 6.85 inches.
All three models support refresh rates of up to 144Hz.
Dimensity 9600 Chips Power The Series
The Vivo X500 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M processor, built using a 3nm manufacturing process.
The X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max use the newer Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, which is based on a 2nm process.
The Pro models are among the first smartphones to launch with the new flagship processor, with Vivo targeting high-end performance and improved power efficiency.
The phones come with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage, depending on the model.
X500 Pro Max Gets 200MP Camera
Photography is one of the biggest highlights of the new lineup.
The X500 Pro Max features a 50MP Sony LYTIA L910 main camera with a large sensor and 3-degree optical image stabilisation. It is paired with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP0 periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom.
The phone is designed to deliver improved long-distance photography while also offering advanced stabilisation.
The X500 Pro also gets a high-end multi-camera setup, while the standard X500 features a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera and a 64MP telephoto camera.
Huge 8,000mAh Battery
Battery capacity is another major upgrade across the series.
The standard Vivo X500 packs a 7,500mAh battery, while the X500 Pro gets a 6,510mAh battery.
The X500 Pro Max takes the capacity even further with an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery.
All three models support 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.
New Camera Accessory For Vloggers
Vivo has also introduced a 3.92-inch AMOLED wireless companion screen that can be attached to the rear of the phone.
The accessory works as a live monitor, allowing users to see themselves while taking photographs or recording videos using the rear cameras.
It can also remotely control camera functions from a distance and is designed to work with Vivo’s Zeiss telephoto accessories.
Vivo X500 Series Price In China
The Vivo X500 starts at CNY 5,499, which is approximately Rs 79,000, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
The Vivo X500 Pro starts at CNY 6,499, approximately Rs 93,000, while the X500 Pro Max starts at CNY 6,999, roughly Rs 1 lakh.
Higher storage configurations are priced higher.
Sales in China are scheduled to begin from September 24, while Vivo has not officially confirmed the Indian launch date or pricing.
India Launch Could Come Later
The X500 series has currently been launched in China, with global availability still to be confirmed for individual markets.
Reports suggest that the standard X500 and X500 Pro Max could reach India around late October or early November, but Vivo has not officially announced an India launch date.
Indian pricing is also expected to be higher than the direct Chinese price after accounting for taxes, duties and other costs.
