Truecaller Brings Native Call Recording With Transcripts for India

Call identification app Truecaller has upgraded with an artificial intelligence-enabled functionality allowing Indian subscribers to securely record phone conversations within its platform. The AI additionally automatically transcribes discussions post-calls and creates summaries.

Truecaller Offers Call Recording, Summary, Transcription At Rs 75/Month

The fully automated transcription currently supports English and Hindi. But regional language support is slated for future. Recordings are safely locally stored on devices.

Seamless Experience Without App-Switching

On iPhones, initiating recording is straightforward via tapping the option after search tab is accessed when making/taking calls. Android users have a dedicated button in Truecaller dialer app and for others, a floating icon.

Unlike third-party apps, the native integration helps recording calls sans hassles of switching between apps mid-discussion. Reviewing transcriptions happens within Truecaller itself easing user convenience.

Bundled With Premium Package

Accessing the call recording functionality requires signing up for Truecaller’s Premium package priced nominally at Rs 75 monthly or Rs 529 yearly. So subscribers also gain other Premium perks like identifying unknown contacts or blocking numbers etc.

Truecaller expects the exclusive upgrade to aid small business owners, entrepreneurs etc greatly in capturing important discussions and key decisions without manually noting down details. Early user feedback remains positive.

Paid packages drive crucial revenue for largely ad-supported Truecaller. Thus valuable feature additions showcase its expanding platform strategy beyond just core user tools, leveraging latest technology.
