Samsung To Unveil Galaxy S23 At Unpacked Event In Feb 2023?

The next Unpacked event from Samsung is reportedly scheduled for the first week of February. At the event, the company will introduce the Galaxy S23 series; although “official” leaks of the phones have been difficult to come by, that appears to have changed now.

Reports that cited industry sources haven showcased a promotional image for the Galaxy S23 series has surfaced ahead of schedule. 

According to the leaked image, the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra will look similar to one another in terms of design, with the S23+ adopting an independent tri-lens setup at the back like the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, however, appears to almost exactly replicate the design of its predecessor, as seen in earlier leaks.

According to the leaked promotional image, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be marketed with a colour scheme that falls between pink and violet, while the S23+ will have a colour scheme that falls between green and blue. 

Additionally, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds2 Pro are displayed alongside both smartphones. It’s likely that both devices will be available as pre-order bonuses for the Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra.

Samsung Supplies More Than 70% of LED Panels to Apple

Recently, we reported that Samsung is set to become the biggest OLED display supplier for the Apple iPhone 14.

As per the report, Samsung Display is supplying more than 70 per cent of the OLED panels that Apple uses for its iPhone 14 series. This can be attributed to the company’s dominant position helped by setbacks of rivals LG Display and BOE. 

More than 120 million units of OLED displays for iPhone 14 shall be used by Apple. Out of these, 80 million units of that will be supplied by Samsung, while LG Display is likely to supply around 20 million display units and another 6 million units is likely to be provided by China’s display major BOE.
