India’s Fastest Regional Rapid Train Connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut

- Namo Bharat is India’s first-ever regional rapid train connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut conveniently.
- Out of total 82 kms stretch, Phase 1 of the inter-city rail project covering 17 km has been launched already. By May 2025, the overall stretch shall be launched.
- The journey from Ghaziabad and Meerut to Delhi which generally takes 2-3 hours, shall take less than an hour.
- With nation’s first UPI-enabled ticket vending machine, the Namo Bharat’s tickets range from ₹20 and ₹50 for standard coach. The fare for premium coach ranges from ₹40 and ₹100.
- One can also use the National Common Mobility Card, debit card, and credit card.
- Not just the regular rail passengers, this train is touted to also reduce the traffic congestion and pollution by reducing almost one lakh cars from commuting on road.
