Tata Motors has unveiled its new Ultra Prime and Starbus Prime range of buses at the Prawaas 5.0 mobility exhibition, expanding its portfolio of commercial passenger vehicles. The new buses have been designed to offer better safety, improved passenger comfort, enhanced fuel efficiency, and lower operating costs. The Ultra Prime and Starbus Prime buses are aimed at a wide range of applications, including school transportation, employee commuting, tourism, intercity travel, and staff mobility. Tata Motors has developed the new range to meet the needs of fleet operators seeking vehicles that combine comfort, durability, and operational efficiency.

The buses are expected to serve both urban and long-distance routes with multiple seating configurations and fuel options.

Enhanced Safety And Passenger Comfort

One of the key highlights of the new range is its emphasis on safety. The buses come equipped with as many as 29 advanced safety features, including a driver monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, Intelligent Transport System (ITS) capabilities, and a Rear Protection Alert System (RPAS).

Passengers are also expected to benefit from improved seating, better cabin design, reduced noise and vibration levels, and enhanced ride quality, making long journeys more comfortable.

Lower Operating Costs For Fleet Owners

Tata Motors says the new buses have been engineered to improve operational efficiency through better fuel economy, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced vehicle reliability. These improvements can help fleet operators lower their total cost of ownership while maintaining higher vehicle uptime.

The company has also focused on making the buses easier to maintain, ensuring long-term value for commercial operators.

Showcasing A Wider Mobility Portfolio

Alongside the launch of the new bus range, Tata Motors displayed several other passenger mobility solutions at the exhibition, including CNG buses, electric school buses, electric last-mile vehicles, and urban mobility concepts. The showcase highlighted the company’s commitment to offering cleaner and more sustainable transportation options across different market segments.

The expanded portfolio reflects Tata Motors’ strategy of supporting India’s transition towards greener and smarter mobility.

Looking Ahead

With increasing investments in public transportation and commercial mobility, demand for safer and more efficient buses is expected to grow significantly. The Ultra Prime and Starbus Prime range positions Tata Motors to meet these evolving requirements while strengthening its leadership in India’s commercial vehicle market.
