Tata Motors About To Launch These 3 Sizzling New Cars In 2024

For the last financial year, Maruti Suzuki was the market leader with 40.66% market share.

Maruti Suzuki was followed by Hyundai (14.22%), followed by Tata Motors (13.63%), Mahindra (10.75%) and Kia (5.71%).

With the intent to displace Hyundai and clinching second spot, Tata Motors is looking to expand its product line.

  1. Tata Altroz Altroz Racer

To be launched soon, the car shall provide improved performance. Powered by the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine from Nexon, it gives a power output of 120 PS and 170 Nm, which is basically 10 PS and 30 Nm gain over the standard Altroz.

With a 6-speed manual transmission, Tata Altroz Racer shall get premium features such as ventilated front seats, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, six airbags, a 360° camera, ESC, voice assisted sunroof and a head-up display. Primary rival will be Hyundai i20 N Line.

  1. Tata Nexon Nexon iCNG

Tata Nexon iCNG is said to create history since it shall be the first factory-produced CNG car in India to be offered with a turbo petrol engine.

Prior to this, Tata had created another milestone by introducing CNG automatic variants of Tiago and Tigor. The SUV shall be powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine. There shall be manual as well as automatic transmission choice with the car. The CNG variant of the car shall be around Rs 1 lakh costlier in comparison to the respective petrol model.

3. Tata Curvv

Believed to debut in festive season, the car launch has been delayed by a few months.

Tata’s first coupe SUV, Curvv shall be dedicated offering in the compact SUV segment. The car shall be available in both, ICE as well as EV variants.

As far as release is concerned, EV shall be launched first whereas the ICE model is expected by late 2024 or early 2025.

Positioned to lock horns with industry giants such as Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Toyota HyRyder, Honda Elevate, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq, Curvv comes with lot of expectations.

Since it is going to be launched before Creta EV, Maruti eVX and Toyota’s version of eVX, Curvv EV model is better placed.

Underpinned by Tata’s Gen 2 Acti.ev architecture, Curvv EV has been claimed to have a range of around 450-500 km.

ICE Curvv shall be powered with Tata’s new 125hp, 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine.

Both manual and automatic transmission options will be available.
