With promises to bring a range of upgrades, the smartphone major, Samsung is preparing for the launch of its flagship foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra.

The latest reports and reports as the phone’s debut draws closer, suggest at least 5 big changes we can expect this time around.
1. Lighter & Slimmer Design
A thinner and lighter form factor would be one of the most noteworthy tweaks.
The Z Fold 7 Ultra might be as slim as 3.9mm when unfolded — a significant reduction from the 5.6mm thickness of the Z Fold 6 as per the reports.
It signals a move toward making foldable smartphones more comfortable to hold and use.
2. A Bigger & Improved Displays
As mentioned above, the smartphone is expected to feature a bigger main display which is rumoured to be 8 inches alongside a cover screen that’s more functional for daily tasks.
Samsung’s goal is to maximise the screen real estate without adding bulk that can be witnessed by the expansion in size, combined with a thinner profile, underscores.
3. Powered By Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor
As rumoured, the Z Fold 7 Ultra is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
This configuration promises faster speeds, smoother multitasking and enhanced power efficiency which is very crucial for a phone which is designed to handle heavy workloads and productivity tasks.
4. Main Camera Having 200MP Sensor
The Z Fold 7 Ultra is rumored to sport a 200MP main camera, so this is a considerable upgrade as it’s for the first time in a foldable phone.
This is also the same sensor currently available on the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The brand is expecting that this improvement should result in sharper photos, greater detail and better low-light performance.
