As per a Senior Samsung official, Korean electronic mammoth, Samsung plans to start manufacturing laptops at its Noida factory in India this year.
Samsung to Start Manufacturing Laptops in its Noida Plant
Calling India as one of its important bases, the President & Head of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business of Samsung, TM Roh said that plan to manufacture its laptop in India is in progress.
On his current visit to India, he said that “We will start manufacturing laptops this year at the Noida factory. Preparations are already underway”. Citing India as important manufacturing base, he said that the company has received supports at all level governments, be it state or centre.
He added that the company shall work with and cooperate with the governments to fortify the Indian manufacturing scene.
With a key focus on AI capabilities, the Korean giant has launched its flagship Galaxy S24 series smartphone.
Noida Plant is Important for us says the top Official
Roh said that the company shall also be manufacturing its flagship phone in India’s Noida. He said that ‘Noida is a very important production base for Samsung. It is the second-largest base for Samsung. There may be some changes at the plant to optimise it as per the global demand, but what remains unchanged is the fact that it is an important base for us’.
Noida plant, which was already producing feature phones, smartphones, wearable, and tablets, shall start manufacturing laptops too this year.
