Redmi has introduced the A5, a new budget smartphone in India starting at just Rs 6,499. Blending affordability with standout features, the Redmi A5 includes a 120Hz refresh rate display, a 32MP AI dual rear camera, and a stylish design inspired by the upcoming iPhone 16. The first sale kicks off on April 16.
Pricing, Variants, and Availability
The Redmi A5 is available in two configurations:
- 3GB RAM + 64GB at Rs 6,499
- 4GB RAM + 128GB at Rs 7,499
Users can virtually extend the RAM up to 8GB and expand storage up to 2TB. It will be available via Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com, and offline retail stores. The phone is offered in Jaisalmer Gold, Just Black, and Puducherry Blue.

The Redmi A5 features a 6.88-inch HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, along with triple TUV Rheinland certification.
