OnePlus Nord 5: Launch Timeline and Certification Leak
OnePlus is reportedly getting ready to launch the OnePlus Nord 5 in India within the next couple of months. The successor to the Nord 4 was spotted on the TV Rheinland certification site, indicating that the launch is imminent. The current focus is on the OnePlus 13s, expected to arrive in May or June, but the Nord 5 could follow soon after.

Battery Upgrade: 6,650mAh Cell With 80W Fast Charging
The most striking upgrade revealed in the certification listing is the massive 6,650mAh battery, a major leap from the 5,500mAh battery in the Nord 4. It also supports 80W fast charging, although previous reports hinted at 100W. Even with the same charging wattage as before, the larger battery could significantly improve endurance.
Powerful MediaTek Chip and Display Specs
Unlike its Snapdragon-powered predecessor, the Nord 5 is likely to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e — a refined version of the upcoming Dimensity 9400. The phone could also sport a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and in-display fingerprint sensor. This aligns with rumours that it may be a rebadged version of the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition.
Camera and Software Details
Leaks suggest a dual-camera setup at the back, featuring a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, users might get a 16MP front camera. The phone is also expected to launch with Android 15-based OxygenOS 15, dual stereo speakers, and possibly an IR blaster.
Expected Price and Final Word
The OnePlus Nord 5 is likely to be priced around Rs 30,000, retaining its mid-range identity. While the specs sound promising, everything remains unconfirmed until the official announcement. If the leaks are accurate, the Nord 5 could become one of the most balanced and feature-rich phones in its segment.
