OnePlus is building anticipation for the imminent launch of its OnePlus 12 smartphone by joining forces with BOE, aiming to deliver what they claim to be the Android smartphone display with the highest industry standards.

OnePlus 12 Display Is Being Described As "Industry Benchmark": Check Interesting Details

The focus is on creating a display that not only boasts ultra-high brightness but also prioritizes eye health, presenting a new level of user comfort.

OnePlus Joins Hands With BOE

Additionally, the OnePlus 12 introduces a usability feature that was previously featured in the Ace 2 Pro, adding an extra layer of innovation to the device.

As the OnePlus 12 gears up for a global launch, it has also secured additional certifications, further underlining its commitment to meeting the highest industry standards.

In the lead-up to the official release, OnePlus had already hinted at its upcoming flagship smartphone breaking multiple records according to DisplayMate, although specific details remained undisclosed.

Now, OnePlus’ China division president, Li Jie Louis, has taken to Weibo to provide a more in-depth exploration of the OnePlus 12’s display capabilities. Louis believes that the OnePlus 12’s display is poised to become an “industry benchmark,” signaling a potential shift in user expectations, especially in terms of eye protection.

Oneplus’ Previous Collaboration With Samsung

The display, named the “X1,” is a departure from OnePlus’ previous collaboration with Samsung, as it is now sourced from BOE. Despite this change, both OnePlus and BOE emphasize that they have invested two years in refining the new 2K panel to achieve the highest levels of brightness and fluidity.

Louis has also hinted at the incorporation of Rain Touch technology, a feature previously introduced in the Ace 2 Pro. This technological addition enhances the user experience by introducing a new dimension of interaction with the device, adding to the overall appeal of the OnePlus 12.

While the specific launch date for the OnePlus 12 remains undisclosed, recent advancements, including receiving NBTC approval under its global model number, suggest that the unveiling is imminent. As OnePlus continues to push boundaries in display technology and user experience, the OnePlus 12 is poised to make a significant impact on the smartphone market.
