The authorities are planning to commence with commercial flight operations from April 17, 2025.

As we know that this new airport will cater to both domestic and international routes.

Basically, this airport is planned to offer a second major aviation hub for the Delhi-NCR region after Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Noida International Airport will initially handle up to 65 flights daily, as per the recent media reports.

Out of p these, 62 flights will cater to domestic routes while two will fly internationally and remaining one will be a cargo flight.

As we can expect, the airport’s opening is eagerly awaited considering its promise to improve connectivity for residents in the Delhi-NCR area.

Moving ahead, there are speculations that the flight trials are being planned for November 30, 2024.

Providing Facility While Ensuring Safety & Security For The Travelers

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) will oversee these trials, by ensuring that the airport systems are fully operational and meet all safety and performance standards before the grand opening.

The launch of Noida International Airports holds a great  significance for this region as it is expected to boost the air travel capacity at the same time contributing to nearby areas’ economic development.

Besides this, this airport is set to become a critical link in the country’s air travel network.

This airport will have a role in supporting the future growth of northern India and is expected to be significant.

For the unawares, this airport is located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.

It is poised to become the second key aviation center in the Delhi-NCR region, alongside Indira Gandhi International Airport.

First time, this idea for a second airport was first proposed in the early 2000s, but later on it gained momentum in the 2010s as the region’s population and economic activities rapidly expanded.

During 2018, the airport project was formally approved by the Indian government.

Noida International airport is designed to be one of the largest airports in India.

The vision behind this Airport is to enhance connectivity, support regional development, and establish a world-class aviation hub for northern India.
