The iQOO Neo 7 5G has been launched in India now, and it reportedly mirrors the iQOO Neo7 SE.

This is the fourth phone in the iQOO Neo 7 family. It will be launched in two colors, Frost Blue and Interstellar Black.

The phone comes with a Dimensity 8200 chipset that features a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU and support for high refresh rate displays. The CPU has four Cortex-A78 cores, one of which can run at 3.1GHz, three of which can reach 3.0GHz, and four A55 cores, which can run at 2.0GHz.

The Neo7 smartphones have 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and the FuntouchOS 13 operating system (based on Android 13) has the ability to add 8 virtual gigabytes using the Extended RAM 3.0 feature.

As usual, cooling is essential for continued performance, so iQOO gave the phone a sizable vapour chamber in addition to numerous layers of graphite sheets. Interesting fact: The Neo7 is India’s first Dimensity 8200 phone, just as the iQOO 11 was the country’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone.

Moving on to the display, it has a 6.78″ AMOLED panel with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels (up from 6.62″ on the Neo6) (20:9). It has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz (with 60 and 90Hz options for content, plus 30Hz for the Always On Display). Users can manually set a maximum brightness of 500 nits; the high brightness mode increases that to 1,000 nits. The screen has HDR10+ certification.

When it comes to gaming, the display typically runs at 300 Hz for touch sampling, but there is also a 1,200 Hz instant mode. Additionally, there are motion controls in Ultra Game Mode that make use of the accelerometer and gyroscope.

The New State game includes support for the motion control feature, and there will be more in the future (including Call of Duty Mobile). On the Neo7, the game can run at 90 frames per second; Battlegrounds Mobile India will soon support 90 frames per second.

The 120W FlashCharge system has been upgraded by the Neo7. Accordingly, a 1-50% charge takes 10 minutes to complete, and a full 1-100% charge takes 25 minutes. Comparatively, the 80W Neo6 system required 12 and 32 minutes, respectively.
