iQOO is preparing to introduce the iQOO 12 in the Indian market, making it the first smartphone in the country to feature the recently revealed Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This eagerly awaited series is scheduled to make its debut in China on November 7, and a global release is expected in the subsequent weeks. While the iQoo 12 series comprises two models, namely the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro, it appears that only the standard iQOO 12 will be available in India.

The iQOO 12: Unveiling the Power of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and BMW M Motorsport Collaboration

At the heart of the iQOO 12 lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a freshly announced powerhouse that promises a range of improvements. Notably, this smartphone incorporates a dedicated display processor, enabling hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

iQoo has maintained a longstanding partnership with BMW M Motorsport, which will continue with the iQOO 12. A special “Legend Edition Inspired by BMW M Motorsport” will be part of the lineup, featuring exclusive themes and the iconic BMW M stripes on the device’s rear.

Qualcomm Unveils the Powerhouse: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 at Snapdragon Tech Summit 2023

The Snapdragon Tech Summit 2023 marked the unveiling of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a flagship Mobile Platform packed with numerous enhancements. The chipset boasts a new Kryo CPU configuration with five gold cores and a 1-5-2 microarchitecture, resulting in a substantial 30% boost in performance and a commendable 20% improvement in power efficiency. The Adreno GPU complements these enhancements with 25% better performance and power efficiency, while also offering an impressive 40% upgrade in Ray Tracing capabilities.

Qualcomm has taken gaming to new heights with the Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and hardware-accelerated Ray Tracing, delivering immersive and realistic multi-source lighting. The Qualcomm AI Engine expands its support for multi-modal generative AI models, running entirely on the device to offer advanced AI capabilities.
