iPhone 18 Pro Series Arrives in India
Apple will launch the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India on September 18, bringing its latest premium smartphones to the country just days after their global unveiling.
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900. Pre-orders will begin on September 12 across more than 65 countries and regions, including India.
Four Colours and Up to 2TB Storage
Both models will be available in black, silver, glacier and a new burgundy finish.
Apple is offering the phones with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options, giving buyers substantially more capacity at the top end.
The Pro models are positioned as Apple’s highest-end conventional iPhones, sitting alongside the company’s newly introduced foldable iPhone Duo.
A20 Pro Chip Powers the New iPhones
The iPhone 18 Pro series is powered by Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, paired with a next-generation vapour chamber designed to improve sustained performance.
Apple is positioning the chip and cooling system as a major upgrade for demanding workloads, including artificial intelligence and graphics-intensive applications.
The phones also introduce a smaller Dynamic Island and improvements to battery performance. The iPhone 18 Pro Max offers up to 43 hours of video playback, according to Apple.
Major Camera Upgrade
One of the biggest changes is the new 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture.
The system is designed to provide greater control over light entering the camera, improving low-light photography and video while also offering more control over depth of field.
Apple has also added new Pro camera controls and improvements to Photographic Styles, targeting users who want greater control over photography and video.
Siri AI Comes to the Pro Lineup
Apple is also placing greater emphasis on artificial intelligence.
The iPhone 18 Pro series introduces Siri AI, alongside Apple’s broader Apple Intelligence capabilities. The company says the new Siri is more personal and powerful, with the service initially rolling out in English.
The combination of the A20 Pro chip and upgraded Neural Engine is designed to support increasingly demanding on-device AI workloads.
India Becomes an Important Apple Market
The launch comes as Apple’s business in India continues to expand rapidly.
Apple’s revenue in India is estimated to have crossed $10 billion in FY2026, supported by record iPhone shipments. Counterpoint Research estimates that Apple’s iPhone shipments in India reached 14 million units, up 24% year-on-year.
With the iPhone 18 Pro arriving at the same time as in several major global markets, India continues to gain importance in Apple’s international strategy.
