BSNL Reintroduces ₹1 Prepaid Plan
BSNL has brought back its ₹1 prepaid recharge plan for new customers across India, offering 24 days of service with unlimited voice calling, daily mobile data and SMS benefits.
The offer is available to customers taking a new BSNL connection and is classified as a First Recharge Coupon (FRC). Existing BSNL users cannot use the ₹1 recharge as their first recharge.
24 Days Of Validity And 1GB Daily Data
Under the revived plan, customers get 1GB of data every day for 24 days.
That translates into a total of 24GB of data during the complete validity period.
The plan also includes unlimited voice calls, allowing new subscribers to make calls without paying separately for voice services during the 24-day period.
100 SMS Every Day
BSNL has also included 100 SMS per day with the ₹1 recharge.
Over the full 24-day validity period, customers can therefore receive up to 2,400 SMS as part of the plan.
The combination of daily data, unlimited calling and SMS makes the ₹1 recharge an unusually low-cost entry offer for new BSNL customers.
Benefits Are Lower Than The Older ₹1 Plan
While the price remains unchanged at ₹1, the benefits have been reduced compared with the earlier version of the offer.
The previous ₹1 plan provided 2GB of data per day for 30 days, giving users a total of 60GB of data.
The revived version cuts the daily data allowance to 1GB and reduces validity from 30 days to 24 days.
Unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day, however, remain part of the package.
Only New BSNL Customers Can Get It
There is an important eligibility condition attached to the offer.
The ₹1 recharge is available only to new BSNL customers and must be used as the first recharge after obtaining a new BSNL SIM.
Customers who already have an active BSNL connection cannot simply recharge their existing number with the ₹1 FRC.
