Apple has quietly increased the out-of-warranty battery replacement cost for its newly launched iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India. The battery service fee has risen to ₹13,900, which is ₹1,000 higher than the previous-generation iPhone 17 Pro models.
Battery Replacement Now Costs ₹13,900
Apple’s current service pricing lists the battery replacement fee for both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at ₹13,900.
For comparison, replacing the battery of the iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max costs ₹12,900. The ₹1,000 increase represents a rise of around 7.8% in the battery service charge.
The higher fee applies specifically to battery service, while several other repair costs remain unchanged.
Other iPhone 18 Pro Repair Costs
Apple has retained the same pricing for several major out-of-warranty repairs compared with the iPhone 17 Pro series.
A back glass replacement costs ₹16,900, while rear camera replacement is priced at ₹28,900.
Screen replacement costs ₹36,900 for the iPhone 18 Pro and ₹42,900 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. If both the screen and back glass are damaged, the repair costs ₹44,900 for the Pro and ₹51,900 for the Pro Max.
For other types of damage, Apple charges ₹110,900 for the iPhone 18 Pro and ₹117,900 for the Pro Max.
iPhone 18 Pro Starts at ₹1.64 Lakh
The iPhone 18 Pro was launched in India with a starting price of ₹1,64,900 for the 256GB model. The 512GB version costs ₹1,89,900, while the 1TB and 2TB variants are priced at ₹2,39,900 and ₹3,14,900 respectively.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900 for 256GB and goes up to ₹3,29,900 for the 2TB version.
The new Pro models feature Apple’s A20 Pro chip, a 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture and a new vapour chamber designed to improve thermal management.
Battery Service Costs More Than Before
The higher battery replacement price means iPhone 18 Pro owners will pay more when their battery eventually requires replacement outside warranty.
Apple has not increased the listed prices for screen, back glass or camera repairs, making the battery service the main repair-cost increase highlighted for the new Pro generation.
