Apple Gearing Up For Vision Pro Headset Launch
As per Mark Gurman of Bloomberg in his latest edition of his newsletter, Power On, the launch of the Vision Pro will take place in the next month and Apple stores are prepping themselves for the upcoming launch.
Ahead of its February release, there might be a Vision Pro announcement at CES. The headset will be first made available in the United States, followed by China, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Gurman has stated that Apple will have enough supply by the end of this month ahead of the launch in February.
Reports have also confirmed that in order to learn how to sell and support customers with the device, Apple retail staff members are participating in covert training sessions. They will be trained to sell the device and assist customers as well. Gurman has also stated that all the employees will be attending a three hour meeting on January 21.
Apple To Launch Headset At CES Event?
Gurman went on to imply that Apple might attempt to use the CES, the largest tech event of the year, as a platform to announce the release of its Vision Pro. Gurman speculates that Apple may make an announcement regarding its cutting-edge AR/VR headset in the coming week or so, prior to its release in February, despite the company’s custom of not attending CES.
Gurman stated on his X (formerly Twitter) account, “I’d expect a Vision Pro related announcement sometime this upcoming week.”
At launch, the Vision Pro will only be available in the United States for $3499 or more, depending on the accessories the customer chooses. Apple has promised that the device will be available in other nations “later in 2024,” and Gurman thinks that year won’t be too far off. Gurman claims that the UK, China, and Canada are the next countries where the Vision Pro will be introduced.
