Mahindra has created history with the BE 6 Batman Edition, the world’s first Batman-inspired SUV, which sold out in a staggering 135 seconds after bookings opened at 11:00 am. All 999 units were snapped up almost instantly, reflecting the massive fan following for this unique cinematic collaboration. Initially planned as a 300-unit collector’s edition, Mahindra expanded it to 999 units due to overwhelming demand—yet they disappeared in barely two minutes.

A Cinematic Collaboration
Unveiled on the eve of India’s 79th Independence Day, the BE 6 Batman Edition represents Mahindra’s first partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP). Inspired by Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy, the SUV is based on the flagship 79kWh Pack 3 variant of Mahindra’s Electric Origin series. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on September 20—International Batman Day.
Striking Design Inspired by the Dark Knight
The SUV features a Custom Satin Black finish, Batman insignias across multiple touchpoints, 20-inch alloy wheels, and Alchemy Gold-painted suspension and brake calipers. Distinctive elements include “BE 6 The Dark Knight” badging and Night Trail carpet lamps projecting the iconic Bat symbol.
Inside, the theme continues with suede-leather upholstery, gold stitching, embossed Bat logos, a special infotainment animation, and a bespoke Batman Edition plaque and key fob, making it a true collector’s piece.
Performance Meets Technology
Under the hood, the 79kWh battery delivers 281hp and 380Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 kmph sprint in just 6.7 seconds. With 175kW DC fast charging, the SUV can recharge from 20–80% in just 20 minutes and offers an ARAI-certified range of 682 km. Driving modes include Range, Everyday, Race, and a Boost mode for instant torque.
Tech features elevate the experience with a VisionX AR head-up display, Level 2+ ADAS, and customisable ambient lighting offering 16 million colours.
Collector’s Appeal
Priced at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the BE 6 Batman Edition allows buyers to personalise their SUV by selecting a badge number between 001 and 999. While not exclusive, Mahindra says this adds individuality to each vehicle. With this historic sellout, Mahindra has hinted at more limited-edition collaborations expected by 2026.
