7 New Car Launches By Diwali Targeting Mass Market In India

As 2025 enters its latter half, the Indian automotive market is gearing up for a busy festive season. Several brands are preparing to launch new models and updates, with at least seven cars expected to arrive before Diwali 2025. These launches span electric vehicles, SUVs, and performance sedans, offering buyers a wide range of options. 

Two Big Launches Ahead: Kiger Facelift and Maruti’s First Long-Range EV

The first among them is the Renault Kiger Facelift, scheduled for launch on August 24, 2025, at an expected price of ₹6.20 lakh. This will be the sub-4m SUV’s first major refresh since 2021. Cosmetic tweaks include redesigned bumpers, lighting updates, and new alloys, along with Renault’s latest logo. The cabin is expected to feature revised upholstery and new themes, while equipment will include an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, and safety features like six airbags and TPMS. It will continue with its 1-litre petrol engines paired with manual and automatic transmissions. 

Next up is the much-anticipated Maruti e Vitara, expected in September 2025 at around ₹17 lakhs. Maruti’s first long-range EV, it promises over 500 km of range with two battery choices (49 kWh and 61 kWh). Premium features include a 10.25-inch infotainment unit, 10.1-inch digital cluster, ventilated seats, up to seven airbags, and Level-2 ADAS. 

Upcoming Cars: Maruti Escudo and VinFast EV Debut in 2025

Another September launch is the Maruti Escudo, likely priced around ₹9.7 lakh. Positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara, it is expected to use the Global C platform with more cabin space. Features could include a panoramic sunroof, large touchscreen, ventilated seats, six airbags, and ADAS, with a 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid engine. 

Vietnamese automaker VinFast will debut with the VF6 and VF7 EVs. The VF6 (₹25 lakh) will feature a 59.6 kWh battery with 410 km range, while the VF7 (₹50 lakh) offers a 70.8 kWh pack with up to 496 km range, premium interiors, and Level-2 ADAS. 

Mahindra Thar Facelift, Skoda Octavia RS Gear Up for Festive Debut

Mahindra is preparing the Thar Facelift (₹12 lakh), featuring refreshed styling, larger screens, and six airbags, while retaining petrol and diesel engine choices with both RWD and 4WD setups. 

Finally, Skoda will launch the Octavia RS (₹45 lakh). The sporty sedan features bold design elements, a 13-inch touchscreen, and a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 265 PS, capable of 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. With this lineup, Diwali 2025 promises to be an exciting season for car enthusiasts across India.
